From Dr.Hamilton's nomination letter, "Each school year since 2004, Dr. Hamilton voluntarily visits schools in the Daviess County Public School system to conduct vision screenings for students. Through his years of experience he realized that many children notice changes in their vision around the 3rd grade, so when he visits Whitesville Elementary School, Highland Elementary School, Meadow Lands Elementary School, Country Heights Elementary School and East View Elementary School, those are the students he focuses on. He also conducts vision screenings for the entire student body-grades 1-8-at Heritage Christian School."
